Early Roots – Vancouver Island Beginnings
Co-founder Eli Brennan grew up on Denman Island, where ocean, nature, and community shaped his love for food and hospitality.
2000s – Learning the Craft
Eli starts in restaurants, building a passion for service, connection, and creating memorable guest experiences.
2017 – Water Street Café Reimagined
Alan Tse and Eli take ownership of Water Street Café, ushering in a new chapter for the historic landmark. With Tse as Culinary Director and industry veteran Sandy Grant on board, the team brings renewed energy to the space, including a live music venue at 2nd Floor Gastown.



2020 – Resilience in Change
The pandemic reshapes hospitality. Kaitlyn Brennan blends family life with the business, stepping into marketing and community connection.
2021 – Qualicum Beach Café
The team opens Qualicum Beach Café—a seaside hub for locals and travellers—with Chef Todd Bright bringing culinary expertise and community spirit.
2023 – Nanoose bay cafe
Nanoose Bay Café at Fairwinds Landing, takes on management of the residences, and strengthens ties with local farmers, fishers, and makers—menus celebrating the bounty of BC.


2023 – A HOSTPITALITY COLLECTIVE
Moments evolves into community building and formalizes as Moments Hospitality Collective, grounded in community, and a love for BC.
2025 – DEEZ PUB & GRILL
The team acquires Deez Bar & Grill, a beloved local spot in Qualicum Beach, preserving its welcoming spirit while bringing their commitment to community and hospitality.
2025 – Greenview taphouse opens
The team opens Greenview Taphouse at Fairwinds Golf Course, building a more casual concept where craft beer, stone-oven pizza, and relaxed hospitality bring people together.
